Michelle's Restaurant
About This Spot
Michelle’s Restaurant sits quietly along GA-50 in Georgetown, welcoming locals and travelers alike with the warm, familiar embrace of true Southern simplicity. From the moment you step inside, there’s a sense of unhurried rhythm—a place where the clink of silverware and gentle hum of conversation create a backdrop as comforting as a well-worn quilt. It’s the kind of spot where you can linger over a meal without a clock in sight, soaking in the friendly atmosphere and easy-going hospitality that feels just right.
This is a lively yet relaxed local eatery, grounded in the traditions and flavors of Southern comfort food. The buffet invites you to explore hearty plates piled high with familiar favorites, encouraging you to drift from one dish to the next—whether it’s the crunch of perfectly fried okra, the tender, flaky catfish, or the sticky-sweet charm of peach cobbler. Each bite carries a quiet story, a reminder of family tables and Sunday dinners that stretch into the afternoon.
Michelle’s is as much about the people as it is the plates. The warmth of the service mirrors the kitchen’s generous spirit, creating a sense of belonging whether you’re settling in for a quick lunch or a leisurely seafood buffet. The space hums with that intangible, homey quality—easy smiles, casual gatherings, and moments of genuine connection over good food.
For those who cherish the essence of Southern dining, Michelle’s brings together the familiar with the heartfelt. It’s a place where the pace slows down just enough to savor not only the meal in front of you but the simplicity of being present, sharing a bite, and feeling truly welcome.

If you love country food, especially southern country food, you need to eat here. The food is extremely good, very tasty. I went on a sunday and I had turkey, ham, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, collard greens, some more vegetables and I finished it up with banana pudding. At a five stars, I would give it a seven. Reminded me of home.

The food quality and choices are unbelievable. Delicious food. I had the Sunday buffet and, well, let's say I didn't miss much

Great southern cooking. They have an all you can eat buffet. If you can't find something you'll eat, you're not from the south. If you're not miserablly full when you leave, that's your fault. And the price...there's reasonable and then there's this place. They'd have to raise the prices to get up to reasonable. This is the cheapest and and best choice for lunch you're gonna find.

The food was delicious. First time here--- just a visitor stopping by. Today was a seafood buffet and the food was fresh. Sam was our waiter and she was nice sweet woman. I truly enjoyed her service. This is also a buffet style restaurant.

Best southern comfort food I've ever had! Make sure to save room for the outstanding desserts and the price was less than fast food!

Just Awesome! Everything I tried from the seafood bar was good. From frog legs to shrimp (multiple ways) to deviled crab. All the usual sides but I didn’t make room for those. They looked great but I can’t say either way. Banana pudding and Peach cobbler was top notch! I’m so full I can hardly walk! lol We will most definitely stop here every time we make it to the area. Service was top level as well. The staff kept food in all the bins and drinks in our cups.

First time visiting girls early dinner trip...we visited on a Friday for the seafood buffet...we were a little early so we had a salad from the buffet and sat on the deck outside..it was lovely nice breeze, ceiling fans going and about 9 cats stop by to greet us but never came close...the salad was delicious and the servers let us know when the buffet opened so we can come inside to make out plates. Everyone was super nice and attentive . The food was hot andeven though majority was fried the food was batter in different batters and fresh grease. I had frog leg for the first time and they were great and taste just like chicken it's not a myth. I had cat fish that u actually like no fishy taste of old grease taste. I was impressed by the freshness ofwill most definitely visit again.
